In 2018 Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce launched a striking new quarterly publication for its members providing more insight into the city’s business scene than ever before.
To publish a completely new look and feel publication for members driven by exclusive interviews with leading business figures and decision-makers across the city, and covering the major business issues of the day.
The aim was to focus firmly on businesses and people with something to say, stories to tell, and experiences to share so that the magazine became a true voice for the Chamber and its members and reflected the modern nature of the Greater Manchester business community.
Pendrill Media was responsible for conducting all interviews and editorial content for the magazine. For each issue we conducted an exclusive ‘front cover’ interview with a leading name such as fashion designer Sir Paul Smith, Olympic cyclist Chris Boardman, actor Sally Lindsay, and Co-op chief executive Steve Murrells.
We also interviewed a range of business leaders for our regular look at specific business sectors such as manufacturing, property, finance, technology, marketing and arts, while also conducting site visits to fantastic, fast-growing businesses as part of our regular ‘case studies’ series.
The 80-page magazine was extremely well-received, not just across Greater Manchester, but more widely across the national network of chambers of commerce. We received excellent feedback on the quality of the editorial content and fulsome praise from leading business figures who we interviewed.
“Thank you for the wonderful article on the jazz festival in the latest edition of The Business. It looked great and did us proud. The rest of the magazine is looking fantastic too.”
